Welcome to MinRon 11 Det Alfa / Mine Division 112

This site was established to serve as a tribute to the sailors who served in MinRon 11 Detachment Alfa (1966-1968) / Mine Division 112 (1968-1970) during the Vietnam War, and is dedicated to those that sacrificed their lives doing so. Photos, biographies, and stories are posted here to give an account of their history serving on MSB’s (Mine Sweeping Boat) in the Brown Water Navy from 1966-1970.
